In The Cup:
This natural processed lot from Nyamasheke, Rwanda presents a vibrant cup with floral aromatics and a delicate mouthfeel; expect lively notes of Orange, Rose and Vanilla Frosting.
This naturally processed Rwanda Kanzu Lot #3, hailing from the Nyamasheke region, is a remarkable coffee known for its distinctive flavor profile and high-quality characteristics. This coffee is cultivated in the rich volcanic soils of the Nyungwe Forest, benefiting from the region's optimal climate and elevation. This lot is predominantly composed of Bourbon variety beans, contributing to its bright acidity and sweet, fruity notes. The meticulous processing methods employed by local farmers, such as shaded raised beds for forty days and careful sorting, enhance the coffee's overall quality. Additionally, purchasing coffee from the Kanzu Lot #3 not only offers a delightful sensory experience but also supports the sustainable practices of local farmers in the Nyamasheke region as this lot is from a smallholder producer. Each farmer roughly has 1 to 2 hectares of land to farm and produce coffee cherries.
