Classic and Elegant; the Chemex is a timeless brewer that is ideal for those times when one cup just won’t cut it. Chemex filters are designed to reduce a coffee's oil content, leading to a lighter bodied cup with crisp acidity and little to no bitterness.

PREP
- Fill your kettle with 1 liter of water and heat to ≈ 205°F
- Weigh 45 grams of coffee and grind at a coarse setting
- Position the Chemex and filter on the scale
- Rinse the filter thoroughly and discard excess water
- Add your ground coffee to the brewer, shake to level, and zero out the scale
BREW

Start the timer, pour 100 grams of water over the coffee; begin in the middle, and pour outward in concentric circles
- At 1:00, pour until the scale reads 300 grams
- At 2:00, pour until the scale reads 500 grams
- At 3:00, pour until the scale reads 700 grams
- Stir gently to level the brew bed
- Allow remaining liquid to pass through the brewer
- Remove the filter, and serve
